During the Power of Procurement 2025 summit, we will host a two-part State-to-Scale session on Thursday, Oct. 9, by invitation only, and we hope you will choose to participate. The Center is committed to collaborating with longstanding and new partners to deepen our core work of expanding public institutions' commitment to Good Food purchasing, strengthening place-based partnerships, and networking our efforts to build power and alignment. In this spirit, we will advance a state-to-scale policy strategy to accelerate and resource Good Food purchasing in a variety of regional and political environments. We aim to combine a state-level incentive fund and policy strategy with philanthropically supported demonstration projects that provide proof of concept for replication in other states and eventual federal investment that reflects the true value of food. The State-to-Scale session will bring together a small group with diverse perspectives and roles to move into the next phases of this work by discovering areas of priority and alignment around state policy and incentive strategy and initiating opportunities for co-design of demonstration projects.
Please RSVP to confirm your spot by Monday, Sept. 15. For questions, please reach out to anelms@goodfoodpurchasing.org.
